Impact One Drumline

Impact One is the newest program from Impact Percussion Inc. The program started in September 2019.

After many request from our community to provide a program for students 6 to 8 years old. We listened and here is it.

Impact One runs every Sunday from 11am to 12pm, except on holiday long weekends. The program is help at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School, located in the west end of Hamilton. Students from from all over Hamilton, Stoney Creek and as far away as Brantford to take part in this program.

Students in this program get to play on real drums provided by Impact Percussion. while at weekly rehearsals the students participate in fun games that focus on communicating with each other, playing in time to music, being creative and having fun. They also work on learning basic music theory terms and how to read and play basic music rhythms. The students also learn a few basic rudiments. Towards the end of each lesson the work on learning a song and always finish off with a performance for the parents of the music they know.

Through out the class the students are playing along to modern music and with lights going, because we want them to feel like rock stars.

This year students in Impact One have performed at parade and at Drumline Competitions.
